During the spring, ahead of this year’s Pan American Games in Toronto, Adidas and Mondo became aware of some misconceptions that surfaced regarding compression spikes. Sponsored athletes competing in the Pan Am Games were notified that they were at risk of not being able to use their sponsor-provided gear in races due to falsely founded track regulations. Specifically, there was concern that the runners’ spikes would cause damage to the track. In response, Mondo has issued the following recommendations.
