Sport Fence’s System Puts Safety at the Forefront
Baseball and softball outfielders already know about the hazards of racing after long drives in hope of a spectacular catch. Unforgiving outfield fences can pose a major health risk to players who crash into them. Despite the presence of warning tracks, players often leap into fences from a dead run.
Fortunately, there is a way to protect players from the dangers of outfield fences. SportFence International, based near Denver, Colorado, has a patented breakaway system that keeps players safe as they roam the outfield. The outfield panels, which are made from PVC piping, are designed to break away from panel’s support feet upon impact from a player.
